One year old today!!!

It seems like yesterday, the early morning phone call, a drive to the hospital on a cloudy morning, after a night of storms. Scared for what was happening, worried for mom and dad. You all know the story, and you all know the results, two beautiful babies who today celebrated their first birthday, strong and healthy.

I have said this many times, but that morning and many since prayers were said for our family and I know that they were answered. The party today was not only a celebration of one year, but to thank everyone who supported us for the last year, the kind word, the prayers, the meals sent over every little thing, that might not have been recognized at the time but was always appreciated.

M and D had a great time, maybe a little overwhelmed at times, but the treats were many. Pizza and cake! D loved the pizza so much that we had to take it away, he was on his third piece and hadn't had cake yet! M liked the pizza but one and a half pieces were enough. D enjoyed his cake as you can see, M was a little scared by everyone laughing at her but calmed down and took a big bite also.

M and D made new friends today, and you should notice that for five minutes M had her shoes and socks on.

All in all, a great time was had by all.
